FiberTite® Induction Welded Roofing Systems for Superior Strength and Resiliency

FiberTite Induction Welded Commercial Roof Systems use electromagnetic energy to secure the FiberTite membrane, delivering outstanding performance against wind without the need for penetration.

A FiberTite induction welded roofing system provides high levels of performance for commercial facilities of every size and helps to reduce the risk of water infiltration at fastener points by eliminating thousands of membrane penetrations. The result is a commercial roof system that delivers enhanced wind uplift performance, reduces installation time, and reliably protects your critical operations.

What Are Induction Welded Commercial Roof Systems Best For?

Induction welded attachment systems can be deployed where stringent wind uplift requirements must meet the FM 1-90 wind resistance rating. Features and benefits include:

  • Requires 25% fewer fasteners vs. adhered systems due to the membrane being directly bonded to the insulation fastener.
  • Less installation variables and therefore faster installation with the use of fewer fasteners.
  • Fastening pattern versus traditional in-seam fastening reduces potential membrane flutter.
  • FiberTite Induction Welded Attachment Systems are Factory Mutual Approved.
  • IW Plates meet FM 4470 criteria for corrosion resistance and features a wide welding surface to promote a strong bond.

How Are FiberTite Induction Welded Systems Constructed?

In our Induction Welded systems, FiberTite single-ply membrane includes a one-of-a-kind adhesion coat that fully saturates the base fabric. This forms a molecular bond between the back and face coat to provide maximum resistance to delamination.

An electromagnetic induction welding tool is used to create consistent and even bonds between the fabric and fastening plate. Induction welding is compatible with DensDeck®, Securock®, or other approved cover boards. The induction welding plates are coated with a proprietary polymeric and have a recessed center and raised flat bonding surface for strong, uniform adhesion.

FiberTite single-ply membranes offer four layers of protection that buildings can count on.

Why FiberTite for My Commercial Roof?

FiberTite earns its name by creating the roofing industry’s toughest base fabric. Combined with high-performance PVC materials enhanced with KEE (Ketone Ethylene Ester), this fabric foundation delivers exceptional strength, chemical resistance, and long-term durability in adhered roofing systems.

The result is a roof you can depend on for decades. Learn more about our membrane technology and how it differs from other options like TPO, PVC, and EPDM.
