The goals of Roofing Day in D.C. 2018 are to focus on industry support, regulatory reform, workforce development and immigration reform. First, the roofing industry’s support of regulatory reform is critical to ensure excessive regulation does not prevent U.S. employers from growing their business and creating jobs. Second, supporting legislation to address the chronic workforce shortages is important in the roofing industry and can be achieved by improving career and technical education. Finally, immigration reform is critical and includes increased border security, improved workplace enforcement, positions for temporary workers entering the U.S. legally, and focusing on the existing unauthorized workforce in a fair manner.
NRCA is seeking team captains from each state to promote the event and recruit industry professionals from their state. For more information or to register for this exciting event, visit the NRCA website.
