FiberTite Roof Systems have shown favorable total cost of ownership (TCO) versus competitive options such as TPO, PVC and EPDM. Recent research conducted by a leading asset management consulting firm* used a combination of historical performance data, warranty information, lab test results and proprietary scoring methods to deliver evidence-based TCO figures for several different roof systems.

FiberTite vs. TPO: A Clear Difference

Research shows that FiberTite outperforms TPO in terms of overall TCO, but also in other critical aspects that can compromise the integrity of your operations, including:

fibertite-icon-fire-performance

Fire Performance. TPO is a highly combustible polymer, and ASTM E108 testing has shown that TPO membranes are capable of contributing to significant flame spread on its roof systems. As such, TPO can potentially increase the risks and consequences related to rooftop fire.

fibertite-icon-resilience

Membrane Resilience. TPO requires the use of performance additives, and those additives are sacrificial and can be depleted sooner than expected, resulting in premature failure. Plus, the cross-section of TPO membrane has only a single layer of protection, thus one direct path to failure. This design results in limited puncture resistance and could compromise the overall protection of the building.

FiberTite vs. Other Single-Ply Systems

FiberTite also shows lower TCO than PVC and EPDM roof systems.
